Job Description: Ensure the safety and security of our nation as a Cyber Security Analyst Advisor at GDIT. Our work depends on Cyber Security Analyst Advisor joining our team to be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's cyber security assurance processes. This includes developing and implementing security policies and procedures, conducting security assessments, and monitoring the organization's cyber security posture. TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
HOW A CYBER SECURITY ANALYST S ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: - Plans, prepares, and executes tests of systems to evaluate results against specifications and requirements as well as analyze/report test results
- Performs assessments of systems and networks within the network environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy
- Measures effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities
- Performs forensic analysis of digital information and gathers and handles evidence. Identifies network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators
- Periodically conducts of a review of each system's audits and monitors corrective actions until all actions are closed
- Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced cybersecurity personnel
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Required Qualifications:
- Experience in cyber security or related IT field
- Experience with tactics, techniques and procedures
- Understand the general threat landscape of an IT network
- Experience in security operations, network security, cloud security and information security
- Experience with risk management methodologies to develop risk and threat mitigation plans
- Experience producing, tracking, reviewing and identifying inconsistencies in technical documentation/plans and coordinate remediation efforts
- Experience with vulnerability repositories
- Experience conducting searches, analysis, and using dashboards in a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) product, such as Splunk and Elastic
- Experience identifying vulnerabilities
- Understand cyber operations concepts
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with vulnerability management tools
- Experience communicating vulnerability results and risk posture to an audience of varying technical expertise, including senior executives
- Experience with patch management and software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience performing complex technical tasks with minimal direction
- Experience with Confluence, ServiceNow and Jira
- Experience leveraging Tableau or PowerBI to collect and visualize metric data
- Experience with advanced analytic features within Excel, such as PivotTables, PivotCharts, VLOOKUP
- Experience identifying and evaluating threats
- Experience administering a SharePoint environment
- Experience with industry standard Project Management methodologies, including planning projects, meeting objectives, developing contingencies, and producing schedules

The likely salary range for this position is $181,050 - $244,950. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
