Job Description:
This is the first level of the Distribution Specialist job progression for the Logistics Department. Employees at this level are responsible for carrying out the process for unloading and palletizing containers. This includes reviewing the quantity shipped, verifying material and batch #’s., and notifying person receiving of any nonconforming materials.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Possess a High School Diploma or GED
• Are Willing to work 1 st , 2 nd and/or 3 rd shift (Candidates will be moved to either 2 nd or 3 rd Shift once hired on permanently)
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral work instructions in English, such as safety, quality, and GMP guidelines
• Stand or walk about 90% of the shift
• Lift and carry 5-40 pounds about 750 times a day in all directions
• Reaching away from body, out to side, above shoulder, and about shoulder with full arm extension
• Frequent bending and twisting to lift boxes off of floor
• Count and perform simple arithmetic functions (using a calculator)
• Read work orders
• Retain item numbers/bin locations
• Identify and list production data such as quantities, weights, and time
• Work rapidly for long periods of time
• Work alone or as a member of a team
• Ability to work in varying temperatures
• Ability to obtain a hi-lo license
