Job Description

We're hiring a mortgage loan officer assistant who will work directly with and support our loan origination staff. You’ll track leads daily, schedule appointments for the mortgage team, prepare paperwork, and respond to customer inquiries on transactions as needed.   • Assemble loan documentation as required necessary for verifications and underwriting such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork
  • Handle all customer and in-house inquiries about transactions so the process is smooth and customers receive excellent service
  • Review all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculation then report any discrepancies to the loan originator
  • Screen and make calls, book appointments and provide administrative support as needed
  • Serve as the primary contact and liaison between clients, branch manager, and assigned loan originator and conduct meetings to coordinate any follow-up items
  • Work in synergy with our ISAs and real estate agents, educating them on available loan programs.
  • Deliver swift, competent responses to our in-house Realtor and builder referrals.
  • Follow up promptly on inbound leads and collaborate with our ISAs and agents on each lead.
  • Make full use of our company-provided CRM system, ensuring it remains updated.
  • Engage with applicants promptly, providing insightful, consultative mortgage options.
  • Review rates, costs, and program options and keep all stakeholders informed of transaction status.
  • Provide administrative support such as screening and making calls, booking appointments, etc.

Qualifications:
  • Preferred degree in banking or finance, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Preferably 2-3 years of administrative support in a professional office or mortgage environment
  • Although not required, having an NMLS license or training is preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills and willing to go above and beyond for customers and team
  • MS Office proficiency required; some CRM, MLS, DU, and proprietary mortgage software preferred
  • NMLS #, Licensed loan officer.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Proven history of originating purchase loans.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a licensed mortgage originator.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to use video conferencing daily.
  • A college degree is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient technical skills (Microsoft or Google Suite, experience using a CRM to manage leads, etc.).
  • Live in Denver, Co.
