About the role

  • The Temporary Office Assistant will provide essential support to the office staff by performing various administrative and clerical tasks. Responsibilities include filing, basic computer work, picking up mail, light cleaning, organizing projects, and other similar duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be organized, reliable, and able to multitask in a dynamic work environment. Please note, this will be an internship with the possibility of turning into full-time employment after internship is over and reviewed.

What you"ll do

1. Filing and Document Management:

· Organize and maintain office files and records.

· Ensure documents are correctly filed and easily accessible.

· Assist with scanning, copying, and shredding documents as needed.

2. Basic Computer Work:

· Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.

· Update and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and other digital records.

· Assist with basic internet research and information gathering.

3. Mail Handling:

· Pick up, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages.

· Prepare outgoing mail, including addressing and stamping envelopes.

· Maintain accurate records of postal transactions.

4. Light Cleaning:

· Keep the office environment clean and tidy.

· Perform light cleaning tasks such as dusting, wiping down surfaces, and emptying trash bins.

· Ensure common areas, such as the kitchen and break room, are orderly and stocked with necessary supplies.

5. Organizing Projects:

· Assist with organizing office supplies and materials.

· Help plan and execute office projects, such as rearranging workspaces or setting up meetings.

· Support team members with various organizational tasks as required.

6. Other Duties as Assigned:

· Provide general administrative support to the office staff.

· Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate personnel.

· Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings.

· Perform other clerical tasks as needed to support office operations.

Please Note: Must have reliable transportation. Will run various errands in the local area including but not limited to Moorcroft, WY. Gas will be reimbursed.

Qualifications

1. Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Experience:

· Previous office or administrative experience is preferred but not required.

· Experience with basic computer applications

3. Skills and Abilities:

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

· Basic knowledge of office equipment, such as copiers and scanners.
