We are an electronic retailer of jewelry and lifestyle products headquartered in Austin, Texas with a passionate team of approximately 400 Employees. Our products are sold through TV in over 80 Million homes through live 24/7 broadcasts, our website, Apps, Marketplaces, and through social media.

We are the US retailing unit and a subsidiary of Vaibhav Global Limited (VGL), a well-established and vertically integrated company, founded in India 35 years ago. 

 

The other retailing units of VGL Group are in the UK (Shop TJC) and Germany (Shop LC, Germany). Together, all 3 businesses ship out approximately 50,000 products to their customers in the US, UK, and Germany every day. In addition, VGL Group operates offices globally in India, China, Indonesia, and Thailand.

Position Overview:

As the PR and CSR Manager at Shop LC, you will be instrumental in shaping our brand's public perception and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing strategic PR campaigns, managing media relations, and overseeing CSR initiatives to contribute to the community and environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic PR Planning: Develop and implement PR strategies to increase brand visibility, engage customers, and enhance reputation in the U.S. market.
  • Media Relations: Cultivate relationships with U.S. media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive coverage and manage press inquiries effectively.
  • Content Creation: Craft compelling press releases, media kits, and PR materials to communicate key messages and initiatives to the U.S. media and public.
  • Brand Representation: Serve as the primary spokesperson for Shop LC in the U.S., ensuring consistent messaging and brand representation across all communication channels.
  • Event Management: Plan and execute PR events, product launches, and media briefings in the U.S. to generate excitement and maximize exposure.
  • Social Media Management: Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate PR efforts with social media strategies, monitoring online conversations, and engaging with the U.S. audience.
  • CSR Strategy: Develop and implement CSR initiatives aligned with Shop LC's values and relevant to the U.S. market, fostering positive community and environmental impact.
  • Partnership Development: Identify and establish partnerships with U.S. organizations, NGOs, and charities to support CSR initiatives and amplify impact.
  • Performance Measurement: Track and analyze PR and CSR metrics, including media coverage, social media engagement, and community impact, to evaluate effectiveness and optimize strategies.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all PR and CSR activities comply with U.S. legal and ethical standards, including regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

 

Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: maximize the Team’s potential to deliver high levels of service, quality, productivity, training, and goal attainment; Provide ongoing coaching to your direct reports and encouragement of talent development within and outside of your department.
  • Communicate Effectively: Ensure teams have access to, understand, and are updated on company policies, procedures, expectations, and measurements to be successful.
  • Team Development: Delivery of timely one-to-one (1 to 1’s) and preparing and delivering mid-year and year-end performance evaluations; ensure timekeeping, attendance, time off, and overtime standards are addressed timely.
  • Strategy: Balance staffing levels and schedules with the right mix of talent and experience to stay ahead of and react to changing sales requirements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or related roles, preferably in the U.S. retail or e-commerce industry.
  • Strong media relations skills with a proven track record of securing positive coverage and managing crisis communications effectively in the U.S. market.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives tailored to U.S. audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative PR and CSR initiatives aligned with U.S. business objectives.
  • Experience in event planning, social media management, and stakeholder engagement in the U.S. context.
  • Knowledge of CSR principles, sustainability practices, and community engagement strategies relevant to the U.S. market.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced U.S. environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, social media platforms, and PR measurement tools.
  • Commitment to ethical conduct, diversity, equity, and inclusion principles in the U.S. context.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and in front of a monitor/ computer screen.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times with reasonable accommodation.
